Dynamic Mechanics and Crystal Structure Fracture Characteristics of Rock-like Materials in Coal Mines

Deep rock bears dynamic loads such as machinery, blasting and disturbance in the mining process. The fracture mechanism of deep is a necessary prerequisite for engineering design analysis. To study under high situ stress, mudstone sandstone were selected research objects. mechanical properties energy dissipation assessed by using 50 mm diameter separated Hopkinson test device. According to similarity criterion, strength was assumed primary factor prepare similar model materials. Then, tests these materials carried out compression splitting active confining pressure. results show that mainly axial tensile failure crushing failure. Both average strain rate peak increase with increasing impact pressure, increases exponentially rate. This result consistent regularity original rock. mudstone-like dominated intermediate cracks, sandstone-like also secondary cracks addition cracks. nearly twofold action
